SCOTTISH WEDDING IN CHANIA WITH MAGICAL SEA VIEW
When you think of Greece, the first things that come to mind are the beautiful islands with breathtaking sunset viewpoints, the healthy Mediterranean diet and the “siga siga” lifestyle. “Siga siga”, as many Greeks like to say in everyday conversation, literally means “slow, slow”. Greeks like to take things easy. They want to enjoy life. And believe it or not, their attitude is contagious, as proven by the millions of tourists every year. It's that little bit of “siga siga” that they need in life...
With this in mind, it's no wonder that the Greek islands have become one of the hottest wedding destinations in the world. Combining your wedding with summer vacation, we can't imagine a guest who wouldn't agree to this idea. And thanks to the industry's great event planners who are always on the lookout for new trends, there are now numerous unique wedding locations, from beach venues to private villas, catering and mobile cocktail provider, and many more interesting wedding vendors.
Here is another great event story that we like to call: “From Scotland to Crete, ready to tie the knot and celebrate with family and friends”. This wonderful couple chose Chania, more specifically the Sea View Wedding Venue by Enkipo, as their wedding destination. Chania is one of the most popular cities in Crete and is located in the far east of the island.
Alexandra, co-founder and one of the chief planners of Double A Wedding based in Agios Nikolaos, was responsible for the planning. Alexandra and her team have great experience in planning weddings not only in Crete but also in Italy. One could say that it is the Mediterranean atmosphere that inspires her. Alexandra’s event planning proves that teamwork makes the dream work. Of course we are referring to your dream wedding vision!
Alexandra hired us to set up a children's play area with our bell tent, small tables and activities. We were expecting 15 children between the ages of two and ten. You may think that the age difference is too big. However, if you set up a play area with different equipment and activities for all ages, you won't have to worry about anything. The children enjoyed playing with soap bubbles and other toys, doing arts and crafts, e.g. DIY bracelets and relaxing in our large bell tent as they watched the sun set into the sea. This was indeed a magical moment for both children and adults. What is more, we were finally able to express our love for our favorite TV show, The Outlanders, which was filmed in Scotland. Many thanks to the guests who gave us great travel tips for Scotland.
